HARRIER ACTIVITIES.
MASTERTON CLUB HAKES AND HOUNDS. EVENT ON SATURDAY. The Masterton Harrier Club held a most beneficial run on Saturday, when the annual hares and hounds race was held over a distance of about 7 miles. The trail led through Mawley Park into Oxford Street, across the paddocks, and then over and around the golf Koks, past the Hospital, through the stock yards to the Park Oval. The hares responsible for the trail, were J. Mulvey and C. Talbot, who provided every available type of ground for the runners. The first men home were G. Kempton, E. Cresswell and A. Kennedy. The juniors also had a run over part of the same course, providing excellent training for all. KIATEBE CLUB. TRAINING RUN. On Saturday the Kiatere Harrier Club held training over a course of about five miles. The first three mea to finish were W. McDonald, W .Burgess and R. Greeks. Some of the new members are beginning to show good, form and should be a big help to theclub in the inter-dub events this season. Next Saturday as many member* as possible will journey to Petoae to run against the C.Y.M. Club.
