WEDDING.

BELL—HUNT. The wedding of Thelma Ethel, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hunt, Baring Terrace, New Plymouth, and George Ernest Bell, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Bell, Masterton, took place at the Methodist Church, Fitzroy, on May 1. The Rev. J. D. Grocott performed the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of ivory silk clotelle, cut on slim-fitting lines, full from the knees. Her embroidered ivory veil was worn far back on the head, with clusters of orange blossom. The bride carried a sheaf of ivory abutilons and chrysanthemums. Miss Helen 'Lilley, was bridesmaid. She wore a frock of blue crepe de chine, cut on simple lines, flared from the knees, and a blue lace straw hat with blue shoes to match. Her bouquet was of abutilons and chrysanthemums in autumn colours. The bridegroom was attended by the bride’s brother, Mr. H. D. Hunt, of New Plymouth, The church was decorated by Mrs. Knuekey and other friends of the bride.

A reception was held at the Hygienic Tea Rooms, where fthe tables were decorated in tones of blue and white to match the frocks. Mrs. Hunt received the guests in a frock of black georgette trimmed; in fawn, with coat and hat to match. She carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums and carnations. Mrs. E. Bell was frocked in navy crepe de chine, trimmed with fawn, with fawn coat and navy blue hat. She carried a bouquet of golden and red roses. Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Bell left by car for the north, the latter wearing a frock of blue and grey, a black coat, and black and white hat. Mr. and Mrs. Bell will live ‘in Wellington.
