PASSENGERS ON MONTEREY.
SYDNEY, May 19. Customs officials, acting on advice from the police in the United States, refused to allow three passengers on the Monterey to land in Sydney, and the men, who were travelling on United States passports, will be returned to San Francisco by the same steamer.
