PLOTTING ALLEGED.
ROUND-UP IN IRELAND.
LEADERS ARRESTED. LONDON, May 1. The “Sun-Herald” news agency has been informed that widespread republican plots, combined with gun-running and terrorisation tactics in the southwestern counties of the Irish Free State, provoked the Government’s sensational round-up last night. Charges have not been preferred, and the authorities are reticent, but it has been confirmed that the 27 prisoners include: leaders in the Republican Army.
