LONDON, May 1. In the British hard-court tennis championships at Bournemouth, in a semi-final of the men’s doubles, C. E. Malfrby and A. C. Stedman (New Zealand) defeated F. H. D. Wilde and C. E. Hare (England)’, -2/6, 4/6, 6/3, 7/5, 6/3. BEATEN IN FINAL. (Received Sunday, 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 2.
In the final Hughes and Tuckey beat Malfroy and Stedman, 4/6, 6/2, 9/7, 6/1.
