TASMAN AIR SERVICE.

CERTAIN PROPOSALS SUBMITTED TO AUSTRALIA. OTHER DEVELOPMENTS AWAITED. (Received Sunday, 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 2. Mr. R. A. Parkhill states that certain proposals for the trans-Tasman air service have been submitted to the Government but it would be premature to deal with any of them until the British air mail proposals had been dealt with and the New Zealand Government’s attitude defined. EMPIRE NEGOTIATIONS. DEADLOCK NOT REACHED. LONDON, May 1. An assurance that there is no deadlock in the Empire air-mail negotiations was given by the Australian Minister of Commerce, Mr. Earle Page, after the first meeting of the conference. He added that he believed that the disputed conditions were likely to be smoothed out.
