NINETY-THREE TO-DAY.
MRS MARY ANN HAYWOOD. Mrs Mary Ann Haywood, of 6 Olive Street, Masterton, celebrates her 93rd. birthday to-day. She is a native of Warwickshire, England, and came out to New Zealand on the ship Alpine, under the command of Captain Bishop and has spent practically all her life in this country, the greater part at the Hutt. Mrs Haywood has resided in -Masterton for the past five years. Her husband died about 54 years ago. Mrs Haywood had a family of nine, six of whom are still living. Five generations are represented in her descendants. Although of such an advanced age, Mrs, Haywood is still in possession of all her faculties and her many friends will join in congratulating her on the occasion of her birthday.
