MASTERTON CLUB LADIES’ GAMES. DRAW FOR THURSDAY. The ladies of the Masterton Golf Club will play a medal competition on Thursday morning. Play will commence at 10 o’clock. In the afternoon a oneclub match will be, played for which members are requested to arrange their own partners. The draw for the morning play is as follows:— A Grade.—Miss Oates v. The second round of the medal competition over two days, was played at the Taratahi links on Saturday by members of the Carterton Golf Club. The following cards were handed in:—R. S. Lawrence, 81, 20, 61; B. E. Beaven, 78, ■l4, 64; R. Fisher, 78, 12, 66; W. A. Cumming, 90, 24, 66; J. Duncalf, 73, 6, 67; W. J. Candy, 91, 24, 67; H. J. Dudson, 75, 6, 69; I. Moody, 89, 20, 69; B. Booth, 76, 6, 70; E. H. Fisher, 94, 24, 70; W. H. Booth, 83, 12, 71; L. H. Smart, 83, 12, 71; P. Shankland, 82, 11, 71; G. W. Hart, 84, 11, 73; J. Steel, 83, 9, 74; H. E. Jackson, 101, 23, 78; W. Stent, 107, 24, 83. The winner of the competition was R. S. Lawrence, whose net scores for the two days were 66 and 61, making a total of 127.

ALFREDTON CLUB. NEW LINKS OFFICIALLY OPENED. The official opening of the newly formed Alfredton Golf Clhb’s links on Mr. H. Bicknell’s property took place at the week-end. There was a large attendance of members and visitors. The season was officially declared open by the patron, Mr. Cecil Kebbell, who wished the club a successful season and referred to the enterprise of the president (Mr. Bicknell) and the committee in securing the services of Mr. E. W. Perry, the Masterton professional, to lay out the course. Mrs Kebbell hit the first ball. A mixed foursome was played, providing members with an enjoyable afternoon’s golf. Afternoon tea was provided by lady members of the club. O‘n behalf of the visitors, Mr. H. E. Greathead thanked the club for its hospitality and referred to the fine course, which he said had been particularly well laid out. The president also spoke and Mr. Perry gave a most instructive demonstration of a number of shots. BLAIRLOGIE CLUB. OPENING NEXT WEEK-END. The official opening of the Blairlogie Golf Club’s new links will take place next week-end. A cordial invitation is extended to members of other clubs to attend. HUTT TOURNEY. WELLINGTON, May 6.
