GAME FISHING TRAGEDY.
JOURNALIST LOSES LIFE IN N.S.W. LAUNCH CAPSIZES ON RIVER BAB. (Received Monday, 8.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 4. The first tragedy associated with big game fishing on the South Coast occurfred at Narooma to-day, when a big passenger launch capsized on the bar and John Donaldson, a journalist, of the 44 Melbourne Herald" staff, was drowned. Three other men, after searching for Donaldson in shark-in-fested water, managed to swim ashore. Donaldson had been sent from Melbourne by his paper to provide firsthand stories of the hunt for swordfish and shark®. He disappeared immediately when the launch capsized.
