Price kicked a penalty for Wairarapa. In the other match a sensational last minute try gave Wanganui the victory against Wellington, the score of 8 to 5 indicating the merits of the game. -(P.A.) SECONDARY MATCH. TIMARU BEAT SOUTHLAND. INVERCARGILL, August 20. A secondary schools Rugby match between Timaru and Southland played here to-day resulted in a win for Timaru by 12 points to 8. Timaru’s win was well deserved, coming as the result of solid work by the forwards and excellent combined play by the backs. The game was keenly contested throughout.—(P.A.)
