GOOD RESULTS IN GREAT BRITAIN. AN AUSTRALIAN COMPLIMENT. The Convention of the Australian Grajziers’ Council which has just resolved to urge the Federal Government to oppose the imposition of further restrictions on the export of .primary products to Great Britain, was addressed by the South Australian Trade, Commissioner (Mr. G. F. O. McCann) who 1 is visiting the -Commonwealth to confer with the Government regarding marketing problems. Mr. McCann, in describing marketing conditions in Great Britain, paid a very high compliment to the effectiveness of the publicity work of the New- Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. He is reported to have spoken of the wonderful results achieved by the New Zealand publicity campaign, declaring that Australian meat producers and stock raisers could no longer ignore the propaganda of their competitors. New Zealand advertising matter was supplied to, all the English butchers selling New Zealand meat, and in Mr. McCann’s opinion endless propaganda helped sales enormously. Australian sales were affected by the quality, continuity of supply, and assortment of New Zealand meats, and particularly -by the propaganda of t’ e Meat Board.
