BRADMAN IN GOOD FORM AT SHEFFIELD. MAKES 140 IN 120 MINUTES. FEATURE OF DAY’S PLAY. LONDON, July 16. A magnificent display by Bradman was the outstanding feature of play on the second day of the cricket match, Australia v. Yorkshire, at Sheffield. Of 18ft runs made for Australia’s second wicket. 140! came from Bradman’s bat, the ball being twice lifted out of the playing area and sent to the boundary on twenty-two other occasions, giving Bradman IOOi of his score in ■boundary strokes. Treating all the bowlers alike, Bradman reached his century in even time, his second 50 occupying only twentyfive minutes. Of his latest 90 runs 80 were from boundary strokes. He then went berserk, and took 14 from one over from Leyland, including another straight “sixer,” and 14 again from the next over, including three 4’s, raising 200 in 130 miutes.
