WAIRARAPA LAMBS.
PRESENTATION OF SHIELD'. The committee controlling the Wairarapa District Lamb Competition met at Carterton yesterday and decided to hold a function at the Carterton Show Grounds on May 17. This will take the form of a social evening, at which all ■farmers of the district are invited to be present. It is expected that several members of the Meat Board, including the chairman, Mr. David Jones, will be present, and Mr. Jone? will be invited to hand over the Shield to the district, to be held for one year. A musical programme will be arranged and it is hoped that all farmers interested will be present. All farmers who exhibited lambs are specially invited to be present.
