BREWSTER.—JOHNSON.

On April 14 the marriage took place at the. Kuripuni Methodist Church of Miss Rohi Birch Johnson, of South Road, Masterton, and Mr. Reginald Brewster, of Felixstowe, England. The bride, who was given away by Mr Bennett lorns, wore a dress of asli rose crepe suede, with blush pink veil. She carried a bouquet of shaded asters and maiden-hair fern, the gift of Miss Munro. The bridesmaid, Miss Ola Eddy, was gowned in softest pink and carried a charming Victorian posy. The little flower girl, Miss Nancy Butler, was dresed in blush rose and flowered ninon, and carried a posy. The presents were numerous, including many cheques. After the ceremony the guests were entertained by Mrs. Johnson at afternoon tea. Among the many toasts honoured was one in Maori by Mr. Charles Bannister, which it was considered could well be made typical of New Zealand weddings. The Rev. V. R. Jamieson officiated at the ceremony and Miss Evelyn Jones - was at the organ. EVERY—WILSON.

The marriage was solemnised at St. John’s Parish Church, Napier, recently, of Beryl, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Wilson, Napier, to Norman Frederick, only son of Mr. and. Mrs. R. H. Every, Carterton. The officiating clergyman was the Very Rev. Dean Brocklehurst, and the bridal music was played by Mr. P. Tombs, cathedral organist. The chancel had been decorated with palms and white flowers. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a graceful gown of ivory ring velvet made on princess lines, with long Utting sleeves and a short train. A draped belt was threaded through a pearly and brilliant buckle,to form a soft bow at the back. The very long' veil of embroidered tulle fell over the train from a slightly draped cap of tulle finished with a bandeau of orange blossom. An arm sheaf of gcrberas, palest pink and cream roses, fend maidenhair fern was carried. The bridesmaids were Miss M. Wilson (chief) sister of the bride, and Miss E. Every (Carterton), sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed alike in princess frocks of apple green panne ( velvet fully flared from the knees. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Jollands (Wellington), and. those of groomsman by Mr. I. L. Prime of Napier. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the Nelson Park tearooms where the tables were decorated with autumn flowers, fern and foliage. Mrs. Wilson, mother of the bride, received the guests in a frock of lido blue phantom faille, the bodice having yoke and sleeves of lace to tone. The hat was of the same blue shading, and she carried a bouquet of gerberas and gladioli veiled with maidenhair fern. The bride travelled in a black tailored costume with white georgette' blouse and small blaek hat. The honeymoon was spent at Nelson, and Mr. and Mrs. Every are now living at Kelburn.
