BASKETBALL.
OLD GIRLS’ CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. TWO TEAMS THIS SEASON. At the annual meeting of the Wairarapa High School Old Girls’ Basketball Club, held last sight, it was decided to enter two teams, an A end B grade in the association’s competitions. The prospects for the coming season were said to be most encouraging. Miss CX. Sutherland, who presided, reviewed the past season’s activities and congratulated Miss Maude captain of the A team, on the success* of her team. The financial statement showed that the finances were in a fairly satisfactory position. Miss Rcta Brown was elected club captain. Misses Joan Renner and Reta Brown were appointed delegates to attend the annual meeting of the association next week. Opportunity was taken to extend to Miss Maude Bright, who is shortly to be married, the best wishes of members for her future happiness and thanks were expressed in appreciation of her services to the club. It was decided to make an effort to hold a sports reunion at the High School sometime during Easter. Intending players who would be willing to assist are asked to communicate with Miss Reta Brown.
