WEDDING.

HOLMWOOD—MILLER. Flowers in attractively contrasting shades were used to decorate Knox Church, Bealey Avenue, Christchurch, for the wedding there on February 27 of Miss Ellie Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Miller, Bealey Avenue, to Mr. Erie Holmwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Holmwood, of Masterton. The Rev. T. W. Armour officiated at the ceremony, and Miss V. Butler played the bridal music. For her becoming gown the bride had chosen flat crepe in the palest of beige tints. It was fashioned on simple lines, soft little puffs at the top of the long sleeves, and the skirt showing rich flared folds at the sides, falling to her blue shoes. Her tulle veil had been lent by a friend, and was arranged over the head with orange blossom to hold it in place, and, falling to the ground, formed a train. She carried a long armlet of white blooms with a single touch of •blue in their midst. Her sister, Miss V. Miller, attended as maid, wearing a graceful frock of fuchsia pink lace with deep lacy flounces at the hip-1 line, and the accompanying coatee had short flares to fall from the long sleeves over the hands. Her wide silk straw hat was of the same tone as her frock, and sue carried pink flowers. Mr. N. R. Cunningham, of Masterton, assisted the bridegroom. At the reception held afterwards at the home of the bride’s parents, Mrs. Miller received her guests wearing a frock of floral crepe suede in autumn colourings, relieved with a fawn yoke, her smart coat and hat being fawn to tone. Autumn shades were in her bouquet. The bridegroom’s mother was smartly dressed in black georgette and lace, and she wore a black straw hat. She carried a bouquet of red roses. The bride travelled in a charming frock of maroon shaded spun silk, with inset yoke of white and maroon check. A small red and white hat and a cream swagger coat completed her outfit. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Holmwood left for the north. Their home will be in Masterton.
