THE REGENT.

“THE SOLITAIRE MAN” FINALLY TO-NIGHT. “The Solitaire Man,” is to be shown finally at the Regent Theatre to-night. Reserves at Perry’s, ’phone 2496. COMING TO-MORROW. “BROADWAY TO HOLLYWOOD.” Besides being noteworthy in its spectacular scenes, which include brilliant ballets, “Broadway to Hollywood,” which comes to the Regent Theatre to-morrow, tells the story of three generations of a theatrical family—Ted and Lulu Hackett, an oldtime vaudeville team, their son Ted and his wife and another Ted, of the third generation, who becomes a Hollywood star. The old vaudeville artists are brought by their grandson to his (Hollywood palace, where with his head turned by easy success, he is spending money like water, drinking and indulging in all sorts of orgies. Finally the producer, out of patience with these follies, tells the grandfather that the young fellow is “through” in pictures. “No Hackett ever threw down the show,” resolves the grandfather. He finds the boy in a girl’s apartment, beats sense into him and drags him back to the studio, where the producer, when he learns what has happened and sees that the boy is really repentant, gives him another chance. The boy makes good. In a dramatic final episode, the young actor is seen taking part in a great spectacle which his grandparents have come to watch. Ted dances on ignorant that his grandfather has received the final call. Seats may be reserved at Perry’s, ’phone 2496.
