The new headquarters of the Wellington Branch of the St. John Ambulance Association were officially opened lastnight by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, who paid a warm tribute to the Association.—(P.A.) The control of the Otaki Sanatorium for female patients passed officially from the Health Department to the Palmerston North Hospital Board at the beginning of the present month and yesterday there was an appropriate valedictory gathering at the institution.
