“GUILTY AS CHARGED.” TO-DAY. “Guilty As Charged” Paramount’s murder farce starring Edmund Lowe and Victor McLaglen, is now showing at the Regent. The picture, done in comedy manner, presents Lowe and McLaglen a,s a police reporter and a detective, respectively, engaged in the task of solving a murder mystery. The audience sees the erime being committed and knows who is guilty, but Lowe and McLaglen make many a ridiculous bungle before solving the case. Blundering through many amusing incidents, they nearly send Richard Arlen, a friend of the woman who has been slain, to the gallows. Adrierfne Ames has the leading feminine role in the production. She is cast as Arlen’s sister, it is her appeal to McLaglen and Lowe that keeps them working on the case. Seats may be reserved at W. G. Perry’s ’nhone 24fi6.
