HOCKEY.

Y.M.C.A. PRACTICE. A full practice of players of the Y.M.C.A. Hockey Club will be held on Saturday, at 2.30 p.m., on the Lansdowne Ground. All members and intending members are advised to 1 be present as the selection comipittee will be in attendance. Practice in the mornings this season will be held on Tuesdays and Thursday, at 6.45 o’clock, starting from next Tuesday. The opening day of the season will be Saturday, April 22. DALEFIELD CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. At the annual meeting of the Dalefield Hockey Club the following officers' were elected:—President, Mr. W. J. Ticehurst; vice-presidents, Messrs. Ri. B. Sayer, C. Burgess, W. Nielsen, L. 8. Gallon, D. Todd, J. A. Ordish; joint secretaries, Messrs. S. Meyrick and M. Ticehurst; management committee, Messrs. C. Knutson, S. Gallon} G. Tildesley, R. Heyder, J. Todd; delegates to Wairarapa Hockey Association, Messrs. Ticehurst and Meyrick; social committee, Messrs. C. Knutson, 'EL Heyder, S. Meyrick, S. Gallon, G. Tildesley, J. Todd. The subscription was fixed at 4s. It was decided to apply for the use of a ground on Carrington Park. The first practice was fixed for 1.30 p.m. on Saturday, at Dalefield School, and it was decided to inaugurate weekly evening meetings, commencing tonight, at 7 o’clock, in order to discuss rules and various phases of the game. Mrs. Meyrick was elected a life meni" ber of the club in appreciation of the valuable services rendered to the club.
