The “Daily Mail” says that Stalin, the head of the Soviet Government, is facing Russia’s most serious political and economic crisis. ,A special financial commission has discovered enormous deficiencies in wage funds, threatening millions of workers with cessation of pay and causing chaos in the national finance. It is now admitted that the people are wrecking Stalin’s plans for agricultural and industrial development. The newspaper “Pravda” says that high officials are criminally ignoring the Government’s instructions and that the rank and file are absenting themselves from work, reducing productivity to a dangerously low level.
