arrangements for annual PICNIC. BIG SPORTS PROGRAMME. A big programme of sports events has been drawn up for the annual picnic of the Oddfellows’ Lodge, which is to be held at Payton’s Bush on Boxing Day. For the children there will be 28 events on the sports programme, and also the following events: 75 yards men’s handicap, 75 yards P.G.’s race, 75 yards ladies’ handicap, 50 yards married women’s race, 75 yards Oddfellows’ ladies’ championship, 100 yards Oddfellows’ men’s championship, 150 yards N.G. and V.G. relay race. 100 yards all-comera’ Friendly Societies’ handicap, married men’s race (handicap according to number in family), nad a few minor events. Good prizes will be given. The following officials will control the sports programme: Juvenile events, A. Torrance, starter; F. Wright and F. Knowles, judges; B. Seddon and P. Smith, handicappers; W. Palmer, steward. Senior events: A. Palmer, starter; A. P. Smith and H. Preston, judges; L. Emery and R. Baikie, handicappers; Lyle Barber, steward. Bro. R. Read will bo in charge of hot water and milk.
