SERIOUS FLOODS.
HEAVY BAIN IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA. TRAIN TRAFFIC DISORGANISED. PERTH, December 20. Following very heavy rains parts of the East Kimberley, Gascoyne and Murchison districts have been flooded. Numerous washaways occurred and a train was derailed near Meekatharra, where water ran four feet over the line. The engine sank into the mud until water entered the fire boxes. Traffic is disorganised. A man was drowned attempting to cross a flooded creek.
