TRAMWAY STRIKE.
FULL SETTLEMENT REACHED IN CAPETOWN. MINISTER AS MEDIATOR. CAPETOWN, December 18. Due to the mediation of the Minister of Labour, Colonel Creswell, Capetown’s tram and bus strike ended after pr.otracted week-end discussions, the men agreeing to tue employers’ terms, which include immediate return to work without loss of status, no victimisation, non-recognition of the present union executive and shop stewards. Full services will be resumed to-mor-row. Comparatively little damage was done during the strike.
