WORLD’S UNEMPLOYED.
TOTAL REACHES THIRTY MILLIONS. LEAGUE LABOUR OFFICE CALLS CONFERENCE. LONDON, December 18. The International Labour Office at Geneva reports that there are now thirty millions unemployed throughout the world, losing wages normally of four thousand millions sterling a year. A special conference has been convened for January 10 to consider reducing the number and providing work for some of the unemployed.
