RANGERS’ CRAFT WORK.
BLEDISLOE CUP ON VIEM IN MASTEBTON. INTER-PROVINCIAL CONTEST. An exhibit of interest in the window of Messrs. C. Smith, Ltd., Queen Street, this week is the Bledisloe Cup, presented by Lady Bledisloe for inter-provin-cial competition amongst Ranger (senior Guide) companies in New Zealand. This year, the trophy was won by the Wellington province for craft work. The articles displayed with the eup were made by Masterton, Wellington and Wanganui Rangers, the pester and the bonnet being the work of the Masterton girls and the needlework picture that of the Wanganui Bangers Wellington being responsible for the balance of the exhibit. The Ist Masterton (vVeraiti) Banger Company scored a notable success with their work, as two of the five articles included in the provincial display were made by them. The trophy is a particularly handsome one, the silver cup bearing some interesting Celtic designs. Masterton is entitled to hold the cup for one month and persons interested should make a point of inspecting the display.
