WHAREREHUI KINDERGARTEN.
ANNUAL BREAK-UP. The annual .break-up of Mr». Drew’. Wharerehui Kindergarten wa» held in tho Orange Hall on Saturday after noon. Mr.. E. O. Blamire. presided over a large gathering of parent, and friends. The programme submitted by the little ones covered a very wide range of subjects and the excellence of their presentation bore eloquent testimony to the careful training received, the audience recording their approbation of the various item, in no uncertain manner. The numbers comprised recitations, choruses, games and musical rhythm, whilst individual item, were given by Bruce Diggle, Miria Holmes, Reg Malison, Reijel Skjellerup, Ann Butty, Bex Knowles, Audry Graham. Both Creswell, Rex Barnet and Molly Byrn. Additional renditions were also given during the afternoon by Mis. Elvu Williams (two recitations) and by Mr. W. Diggle, song, entitled, “Tommy Lad.”
At an interval, those present were afforded an opportunity of inspecting the handwork of the children, whieh was most effectively arranged for exhibition. The baby of the school, Reijel Skjelletup, who has just turned three years, on behalf of the pupils, handed beautiful bouquets to Mrs. Drew and Mrs. Blamires. A further presentation was also made to Mrs. Drew by Mrs. Biatnires of a most beautiful cake stand, on behalf of the pupils and parents. The gift was appropriately acknowledged by the recipient. During the afternoon, Mrs. Drew presented her annual report whieh was listened to with the keenest interest. Mrs. Blamires congratulated Mrs. Drew on the excellent report and referred to the evident enjoyment of the children in their work. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Blamires for presiding.
