LOWER TAXATION.
AS IMPROVEMENT IN REVENUE PERMITS. INTENTION OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. SYDNEY, September 16. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Canberra correspondent says that the Government intends to initiate taxation reductions next February. The first relief will be the removal of the ten per cent, property supertax. Other reductions will follow according to the state of the revenue returns. It is possible that some relief will be afforded before February in the sales tax and primage duties.
