CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
ECHO OF SYDNEY BRIDGE INCIDENT. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 28. The Supreme Court on Wednesday hears an action in which Captain de Groot claims £5OOO from Mr. Mark Gosling, former Chief Secretary, the Police Commissioner, Mr. Childs, and Superintendent Mackay. The claim arises out of the bridge-opening incident and subsequent wrongful arrest and imprisonment.
