OBITUARY.
MR. BRYAN JOHN URIDGE. The death occurred at his residence, 73 Worksop Road, yesterday, of Mr. Bryan John Uridge, at the age of 33 years. The late Mr. Uridge, who had resided in the Wairarapa district for about nine years, came here from Gjsborne, where he was well known in sporting circles. Although not a player of Rugby, he travelled with the Wairarapa representatives for six years and rendered much assistance in connection with the social side of the teams' activities. The late Mr. Uridge was formerly associated with his father, the late Mr. J. J. Uridge, in the Gladstone Hotel and latterly, for the past four years, following on the death of his father, he was a successful motor salesman for Ford Motors in Masterton. He had been indisposed for the past twelve months and his death will be greatly regretted by a wide circle of friends. He leaves a widow and his mother, a resident of Carterton, also survives him. The funeral will take place to-day, leaving the residence at 2.30 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery. MRS. M. B. LOWES. The friends of Mrs. Maria B. Lowes, widow of the late Mr. Thomas Lowes, will regret to learn of her death, which occurred at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. A. E. Howie, Palmerston North on Monday. The late Mrs. Lowes had attained the advanced age of 92 years. She >ame to New Zealand from her ralive country, England, 45 years ego. She had resided in Masterton for a number of years. A family of three daughters (Mrs. A. E. Howie, Palmerston North, Mrs. H. Fowler, Palmerston North, and Mrs. M. Mcßeth, Taumarunui) are ’eft to mourn their loss. Mrs. T. Taylor, “Beaumaris," is a grand-daughter, and Mr. E. C. Fowler, of Upper Plain, is a grandson. The funeral is to take place at Ashhurst today.
