WESTERN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP.
NEW YORK, July 2. A message from Cleveland states that in the first 36 holes of the Western open golf championship Hagen tied for first with three others at 142. Kirkwood was seventh with 145. Hagen won the championship with 287. Kirkwood tied for eighth place with 296.
