INTERESTING FINANCIAL DETAILS. PARTICULARS OF PROMOTION COSTS. (By Telegraph.—“ The Age” Special.) WELLINGTON, July 14. The Legislative Council recently ordered a return, on the motion of the Hon. W. Snodgrass, showing financial details of art unions authorised by the Minister of Internal Affairs. This has been presented, showing the following results:— Lucky Star, for the purpose of raising funds for the New Plymouth and Wanganui aero elubs: Received from the sale of tickets, £28,564; cost of promoting, £8719; paid in prizes, £40'00; net amount received by promoters, £15,844. Black Cat, .providing funds for the Marlborough and Hawera aero clubs: Received from the sale of tickets, £32.261; cost of promoting, £9406; amount paid in prizes, £4000; net amount received by promoters, £18,854. Lucky Dog, for funds for combined New Zealand Cricket Council and New Zealand Football Association: Received from the sale of tickets, £25,790; cost of promoting, £8289; amount paid in prizes, £4000; net amount received by promoters, £13,400. Golden Key, for the purpose of raising funds for the Dannevirkc and Rotorua A. and P. associations: Amount received from the sale of tickets, £28,221; cost of promoting, £8125; net amount received by promoters, £16,095.
