MASTEBTON ASSOCIATION FOBMED. OPENING MATCH ON TUESDAY. A wrestling association has been formed in Masterton by a number of wrestling enthusiasts and the opening bout of the season will take place at the Opera House on Tuesday evening, when Sam Burmister meets Geo. His 21i-inch neck presents a grave problem for the ready-to-wear shirt departments. Burmister cannot afford to neglect his laundry as shirts and collars like his are not stock models. Of the men at present wrestling in New Zealand, Burmister claims victories over Limakin, Higgins, Koolman and Lundyn. He is a vigorous and punishing opponent, the hero of 500 contests, and from the moment he springs into action the sparks begin to fly. His popular nickname, “The Caveman of the Mat’’ has been well earned. Geo. Pencheff, champion heavyweight of the Balkan States, is a perfect model physically, (standing sft. loin, he pulls the beam at 13 stone 12 pounds.
