On Saturday afternoon, at the residence of Mrs R. C. Drummond, Lansdowne, the Misses Jean Drummond and Molly Collier, were hostesses at a Linen Party for Miss Norah Bunny. A tennis and ping pong tournament, and clock golf were played. The hostesses provided a 'delicious tea for their guests. Those present were the Misses Nora Bunny, Joan Bunny, G. and M. Major, L. Boddington, D. Cameron, M. Wright, Jean Marshal, Sally Drummond, R. Elliott E. Shearer, Burdett and Messrs K. Clarke, D. Hunn, J. Wright, J. Bunny, H. Major and Woodhouse. On Moriday afternoon at the residence of Mrs A. Corskie, Pownall Street, Mrs G. Robbie was the guest at a farewell tea given in her honour, the hostesses being Mesdames Corskie, E. Fowler, A. Ibbetson and A. Morgan. The drawing room, where the guests •were received was tastefully decorated with beautiful Iceland poppies and foliage. An interesting competition was won by Mrs Mabson. Oh behalf of those present a gift was handed to Mrs Robbie with many expressions of good wishes, Mrs Robbie suitably replying. Those present were Mesdames Robbie, Blatehford, Armstrong, McGregor, Pointon, S. Burridge, Esau, HYnley, Skjellerup, Benner, McCleary, Mabson, Hawker, Jones, Kerslake and Brown. The wedding took place in Masterton on Saturday evening of Miss Marian Matilda Henson, eldest daughter of Mr. arid Mrs A. Henson, and Mr Caleb Arthur Ewington, eldest son of Mr. C, A. Ewington. Miss Isabel Henson was bridesmaid, and Mr Sidney Rossetter acted as best man. The Rev. R. 'Dickie performed the ceremony. WEDDINGS. STOCKMAN—BUNNY. The marriage took place on Monday of Miss Nora Bunny, daughter of Mrs A. K. arid the late Mr. A. R. Bunny, arid Mr. J. Stockman, son of Mrs M. E Stockman, of Roseneath, Wellington, at St, Patrick’s Church, Masterton, the Rev, Father N. Moore officiating. The bride, who was given away by her brother (Mr. A. J. Bunny) wore a dainty gown of floral georgette, ankle length and a picture 'hat of pale pink, and carried a shower bouquet. Miss M. Buuuy attended her Sister as bridesmaid, and wore a frock of mauve georgette, with hat au<l bouquet to tone. Two little nieees of the bride, Naomi Moore and Barbara McMinn, wore froeks of palest pink, with hats and posies to match. Mr. D. T. Herbert acted as best man. The wedding was solemnised at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Pahiatua, last week, of Eileen Mavis, eldest iif kFi- krtS -ist d*. and Joseph William Cyril, Only son of Mr. and Mrs W. H. G. Hughes. New Plymouth. The Rev. G. V. Gerard officiated, and Mrs Rombach presided at the organ. The bride was attire’d in ivory satin with ruaked bodice and panels of white satin on either side, finished with an uneven hemline of mariette touched with pink rosebuds. Her veil, which was caught at either side by small posies of orange blossoms, was the gift of her grandmother, Mts Avery, of Palmerston North, The three bri'desuiaids in attendance wore the bride’s two sisters, Miss Phylllg and Miss Elsie Mills, ami Miss Joan Hughes, sister of the bride groom. All wore attired in gowns of nil green iimriette over satin, with uneven homlino. Their h a t s were of Vink felt with crinoline edgings to tend. Margaret, youngest sister vt the bride, was flowewghl. The bridegroom was attended by Mr, Keith Kilsby (Palmerston North) as best man, and Mr. Jack M. Mills aa groomsman.
