OPTIMIST CLUB.
ADDRESS BY MB A. J. DAYSH.
“Brain, the Master af Destiny," was the title of an address delivered at the luncheon of the Masterton Optimist Club yesterday by Mr. A. J. Daysh. The address was based on the book recently written by Frederick Tilney, in the course of his remarks, Mr. Daysh said that the spirit of man led him to his destiny. If the nations cherished the spirit of conquest, there were bound to be wars. If a nation cultivated the spirit of “get” instead nf “give,” there would he strivings. Love wuufd lead to destiny. The development of the brain at different ages in life, the manner in which it ‘works, its power in determining action, and it? flocline in old age, were all dealt with, A most interesting discussion onsued, in which Mr. G. R. Sykes, M.P.. Mr. M. McKay, the Rev. J. Cocker and Mr. G. Hyde took part. Mr. Daysh was heartily thanke'd for his interesting address.
