AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
EVENTS AT MEMORIAL PARK THIS EVENING. The Masterton Amateur Athletic Club will hold the first of its evening meetings of the present season at the Memorial Park this evening at 6 o’clock. The events will be 1,000 yards, 75 yards, an'd 50 yards flat; 75 yards and 50 yards ladies; mile and quartcr-mile cycle; high jump and boys’ cycle race (half-mile). Cyclists will be graded on the performances at this meeting. Mr. G. Dallas has presente’d the chib with a pearl necklace as a trophy for competition in the ladies’ section. Following are the handicaps in this evening’s cycle events:— One-mile cycle: T. Oakley, scr.; T. McCord, 20yds; R. Harman, D. Bacon, 30; (1. Tinkler, A. Oakley, 40; C. Curtis, 50; E. Sayers, W.
