LONG ARM OF LAW.
ARREST AFTER SEVEN YEARS’ SEARCH. CHARGE OF MURDER. (Received This Day, 1.10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, September 30. The long arm of the law was again in evidence with the arrest to-day of Bichani Buckley, for whom the police have beet: searching for seven years) arid for whose apprehension the authorities offered a reward of £5OO. Buckley is charged with the murder of Richard Berriman, bank manager, at Glenferrie suburb, in October, 1923. Agnus Murray, whom the Crown alleged was associated with this crime, was cvovictrid and tanged. Buckley who Is now 67, was caught in a -small cottage which the police surrounded and raided. His arrest caused a sensation.
