CONTROL OF RUGBY.

OBJECTION TO PROCEEDINGS IN COMMITTEE. THAMES, August 26. A most emphatic protest was registered last night at a meeting of the Thames Rugby Union against the habit of the management committee going into committee to deal with matters affecting players. A delegate Mr. A. Dclamore, stated that matters discussed in committee were common property on the following morning. He objected to this, and informed the union that it had lost the confidence of the players and tho public. In a heated reply the chairman, Mr. H. .Murray, declared that he was sick of the whole thing. Players were never so well treated as this year. A lengthy discussion took place in committee, the dele-gate again registering a protest.—(P.A.)
