SEED GROWING.
LECTURE ON THURSDAY EVENING. The possibility of establishing the industry of’ commercial seed-growing in this district have already attracted some attention and corresponding interest attaches to the lecture to be delivered in the Municipal Buildings on Thursday evening by Mr. J. W. Hatfield, Agronomist to the Department of Agriculture. Seed-growing has special claims to attention as ar. Industry which can be carried on profitably on small areas of a few acres of land and affords employment for both men and women. The lecture is to be delivered under the auspices of the Small Holdings Association. Mr. G. H. Perry will preride, in the absence of Mr. B. J. Barton, who is unable to be present.
