The track was in good order and the totalisator handled £10,643, against £9687 last year. Results:— Hadlow Hack Hurdles; 14m.—4, Gay Fashion (G. Robb), 1; 3, Eiide, 2; 1, Membo, 3. Also started: 2, Hard. Prince; 5, Gold Mint; 6, Fairness. Won by a neck; three-quarters of a length between second and third. Time, 2min 52see. Pareora Hunters’ Steeplechase Handicap; about 2m.—3, Tractarian ( W. Cooper), 1; 5, West Dome, 2; 7, Willow Glen, 3. Also started: 1, Barrington (lost rider); 4, Deportment (fell); 2, Marco Polo; 6, Bladon (ran off); 8, Te Haunui and Indicated (ran off) (coupled); 9, Peterline (lost rider); 10, Tim Balboa (pulled up).
