PORTER UNABLE TO PLAY IN TEST. SYDNEY, July 4. Porter will not lead the All Blacks against Australia in the first' Test next Saturday, and there is a possibility that he will not play at all during the tour. Over the week-end Porter’s septic arm had swollen to unusual proportions, but fortunately he has now thrown off the ill effect, and is out of danger.—(Australian Press Association.) DALLEY’S INJURY. SYDNEY, July 4. Dailey is suffering from an injured shoulder, but he was examined last night and the injury was found not to be serious. It :'s hoped that he will be able ,to play in the first Test. Hot fomentations were applied, and massage will be resorted to when he returns to Sydney.—(Australian Press Association.) LEYS GOING. WELLINGTON, July 4. It was announced this afternoon that E. T. C. Leys, of Wellington, had been selected to go to Australia in response to a call for another player to join the New Zealand Rugby team. Leys, who was Wellington’s (half-back against Taranaki at Hawera yesterday, leaves by the Manama for Sydney tomorrow.—(P.A.)
