WOMEN’S DIVISION.
MEETING OF MASTEBTON BRANCH. BADGE COMPETITION. A meeting of the Masterton branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held on Wednesday afternoon. There were present: Mesdames A. Donald (in the chair), W. A. Michael, Albert Donald, E. J. Wright, N. McKay, W. James, C. C. Jackson and Carter (secretary). Apologies for (fcsence were received from Mesdunes Beetham, Bunny, J. E. Cameron and A. C. Mac Diarmid. A donation of £5 was made to the earthquake relief fund.
Mrs. Jackson gave a resume of th reunion of Flock House boys held re cently in Masterton.
The receipt of books and papers was acknowledged from Mcsdames Tate (Greytown), Hawke and Evans, and a parcel of new clothes from Mrs. Tate. The badge competition was discussed and the prize money paid in by the Masterton branch to headquarters. The prizewinners were Mesdames Lilburn. Polson, D. Simpson and Schenck. It was stated that the badges would bo distributed after the conference. Members of the Women’s Division, with friends, will give all possible help at tho luncheon to be given to the visiting Southland farmer., on Wednesday, Julv 17.
