MASTERTON RACES.
OPENING OF AUTUMN MEETING. PROSPECTS OF EXCELLENT SPORT. The first day of the autumn’ meeting of the Masterton Racing Club will be held on the Opaki Racecourse to-mor-row. The first event will start at noon. As good acceptances have been received for all the events, the racing should prove to be exceptionally interesting. A special train will leave Masterton at 10.45 am., arriving at the racecourse at 10.54 a.m. Convenient bus service will also cater for the .public. Ladies will be admitted to the lawn enclosure free on payment of the front gate fee of 2s. All the course appointments are reported to be in excellent order, and given fine weather the meeting should be a most successful one.
