RIFLE SHOOTING.

OPAKI CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY R. J. KING. The second and final field day of the Qpaki Rifle Club was fired on Saturday under glorious weather conditions. E. M. Wrigley, who a two-point lead on R. J. King before commencing, failed to keep up with the winner. This is the second year in succession in which President R. J. King has won the championship, and he was the recipient of three hearty cheers from the members. The best score for the second day was made by C. G. Monro, who shot consistently throughout. The following are the winners of the principal trophies:—
