CONCLUSION OF MANAWATU MEETING. GASCONY BEATS PAGANELLI FOR STAKES. ELICIT WINS THE HURDLES. PALMERSTON N., March 21. The Manawatu Racing Club’s autumn meeting was concluded today in fine, though windy weather. The track was very fast and good times were recorded. There was an average attendance.. The totalisator handled £21,369, against £22,689 last year, the total for the meeting being £43,121, as compared with £47.030 last year, a decrease of £3909.
