MOIR AT MALTA.

THE FLIGHT TO AUSTRALIA RUGBY, March 20. Flight-Lieutenant Moir and Flying Officer Owe®, the Australian airmen, who left England on Monday in an attempt to fly to Australia in 12 days, landed at Malta this afternoon.—(British Official Wireless.) CONTRARY WINDS LONDON, March 20. Lieutenant Moir telegraphs to the Australian Press Association, Malta: “We arrived at 4.30 p.m. from Rome and made a good landing on the Halfer Aerodrome. The journey across France and also the latter stages were slow through severe bend winds, which made it difficult to attained the speed for which the Vickers Vellore was designed. Nevertheless, the machine behaved splendidly, despite the handicap. It is a most comfortable aircraft and the engine ran .perfectly throughout.
