1 OPENING ON SATURDAY MIXED FOURSOME i 1 The opening of the Masterton Golf Club’s season will take place to-mor-1 row on the Lansdowne links, when a mixed foursome will bo played, for 1 which players are asked to arrange their own partners and opponents. FEATHERSTON CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD The annual meeting -of the Featherston Goli Club was held on Wednesday evening, Mr J. W. Card presiding. The chairman reported that a silver cup had been purchased for competition hmong the ladies during the coming season. The balance sheet showed a credit of £55 14s. Officers for the ensuing year were ’ elected as follows:—Patron, Mr M. El- ’ gar; president, Mr J. W. Card; vice- ' presidents, Messrs W. H. Rowles, H. R. Bloxam and Arch. Clark; club captain, 1 ’Mr W. J. Crawford; deputy captain, Mr E. L. Nicholson; handicappers, cap- ’ tain, and deputy captain; hon. secret ’ ary, Mt A. E. Kenyon; hon. treasurer, 'Mr D. C. Kibblewhite; committee, ’ Messrs T. Lang, E. Trustrum, H. G. » Gundy, T. G. Hardie, N. C. C. Shepherd. " and officers ex-officio. The subscriptions were left the same as last season, and the opening day was fixde for April 20. The green fee was fixed at 2s per person for 18 holes. Three new members were elected. Mr r M. Elgar was accorded a vote of f thanks for his donation of £lO, and - totes of thanks were also passed to 3 Mesdames Eglinton and G. C.
