LEWIN—WATT A pretty wedding took place in St. ■John’s Presbyterian Church, Weliingi ton, on M>; reh 6, the contracting parties I being Horace Alfred, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. Lewin, of Maryborough, | and Myrtle Catherine, only daughter 1 of Mr and Mrs J. Watt of Wellington. • The Rev J. R. Blanchard performed the ceremony. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a MVely frock of white headed ninon with an under-dress of satin and lace. She wore the usual veil and a coronet of orange-blossom, and carried a bouquet of white flow era and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Ena Lewin (jsiister of the bridegroom) and Miss Clarace Harrison, of Wellington. The former was dressed in mauve «repo de chine, with wide bertha collar and sash of georgette and finished with diamante buckles. Miss Harrison wore a frock of apricot crepe »de chine with wide bertha collar of lace to match. Each wore’ a rin estone necklace, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet to tone with their dreisses and their head-dresses 1 of tulle to match. Mr Eric Herbert was best man and Mr Norman Carey groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Kiwi Cabaret. Mr and Mrs Watt received their guests, the latter wearing a frock of black satin with a touch of pink and pink hat and she carried a posy of' white and mauve asters and fern. The bridegroom’® mother wore black mairette and lace with a touch of apricot and black satin hat with Osprey- plumes and she carried a posy of white and pink asters and fern. The happy couple left later for Gisborne, the bridei travelling in a frock of isaxe blue crepe de~chine with fawn sifk coat and small blue hat and a fox fur, the gift of the bridegroom.
