EIGHT-HOUR DAY.
PROCESSION IN MELBOURNE (Received Monday, 8.35 p.m.) MELBOURNE, March 18. The annual eight-hour day procession was held to-day in drizzling .rain. The most noteworthy feature was the presence of the timber strikers, whose banners stressed their desire for a forty-four hour week. The public enthusiasm was, however, lukewarm.— (Australian Press Association )
