It was stated, authoritatively this , evening that the King had passed, a good day. For the first time since his illness His Majesty was able to walk unassisted, for about fifty yards. The weather was gloriously fine and the King remained in the gardens at Craigwell for an hour. Household circles understand that the artificial sunlight treatment, which Drs. Howitt a»d Woods have been regularly administering, has had marked beneficial results, and consequently will be continued.—(British Official Wireless.) PRINCE AS DEPUTY. HONOURS AT ST. JAMES’S. RUGBY, March 16. The Prince of Wales, who, it was recently announced, will act for the King at forthcoming investitures, yesterday conferred the Honours of Knighthood at St. James’s Palace. He knighted Sir Robert Greg, British Minister at Bucharest, who was made a Knight Commander of Saint Michael and Saint George in the New Year’s Honours List, and also Mr. Justice Luxtaoore, recently appointed a Chancery Judge. These are the first accolades performed by the Prince in London, although he has acted for the King in this duty during his tours of the Dominions.—(British Official Wireless.)
